Aluminium foundry
The aluminium foundry at Metaz a.s. predominantly manufactures castings for the automotive and electrotechnical industries. It uses the following technologies:
o Casting into machine-shaped sand moulds, with frame dimensions ranging from 350x250 mm up to 800x600 mm and weighing 0.1 – 30 kg
o Casting into hand-shaped sand moulds, with maximum frame dimensions of 1000x1000 mm and weighing 40 kg
o Castings produced by gravitational technology in metal moulds approximately weighing between 0.1 kg and 20 kg
o Castings produced by low-pressure technology in metal moulds approximately weighing between 0.1 kg and 20 kg
o Precision castings produced by low-pressure technology in plaster moulds weighing a maximum of 5 kg
For the technologies listed above we provide the manufacture of cores, using the following methods:
o HB core-shooting
o CB core-shooting
o CT method
We can manufacture castings in materials with the following chemical compositions:

The capacity of the foundry is approximately 3000 t of castings per year. The heat treatment capacity (according to customer requirements) is about 2000 t per year.
